Another try at a pinning video
I know there are some very good pinning videos out there, but I decided to try making another one. Hopefully I will do something a little different that somebody finds helpful.

Great Vid from a master razor maker.I have helped a couple newbs tighten blades at the pivot and shown them how to pin.
One thing of great import I feel (you can see and hear it In Charlies vid) You want the hammer to bounce off the pin,the hammer will do this with a light touch and using gravity alone,no downward force is needed, just let the hammer fall under it's own wgt.

Nice work Charlie!
You know, I made a pining video once. The feedback was that it was quite boring: 10 minutes of me staring off into the distance and sighing a lot. I thought it had a lot of appeal with the goths and emos, but apparently not.... ... *sigh*

Terrific video as all of yours are.
Two questions.
I did some nickel silver pins a while back and ended up using a 16 oz. ball peen hammer rather than the 4 oz. on them because they were so darn hard. This lead to a discussion about annealing. Were those pins annealed? It went a lot faster than any peening I've done.
The other question is did that cut on your finger come from a razor? I just nicked myself good lately when I was honing up a blade and the phone rang. Distracted me for just an instant and there was blood.
Keep up the good work.

The nickel silver pins were not annealed my me. I used the pin stock as I got it. The pin stock came from Jantz knife supply.
The cut on my finger is the remnants of a blister that has gone awry it just looks like a cut. I get blisters on my fingers when I grind razors. I do get a number of little cuts in the shop super glue is my friend.
