    Gents
I have a green lizard that I just got from ebay.. The razor is fantastic .. It shaves great.. The pivot has a microfastner which keeps it tight in its scales.. I just hate the way it looks.. I would like to repin just the pivot on the scale.. Is there a way to,protect the edge while I do this because I really don't wanna have to rehone it.. Or nothing I can really do and will have to touch the razor up after the rescale..

Is this your first pin job ?
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

You could use electrical tape. Couple of layers ought to do the trick.

Just a hint here, The Green Lizards are a pretty darn thin grind, electrical tape on the edge might very well do way more harm then good...

Perhaps a safer idea is to use the Blue Painter's tape and then apply WD40 to the tape when you are done, so it slides right off easily... The best idea is to be very careful while re-pinning and not mess up the edge with fingers or the tape

    Good Luck
