Just thought I would share my latest acquisition. A 9/8 beauty!

I have only hit it with a bit of Maas + a paper towel. Not much hone wear and etching is still quite deep.

Making a new set of scales this weekend. I will post more pictures as I go.

Very nice blade! Did you consider cleaning and fixing the original scales?

Unfortunately, I do not think that the scales were original. The pivot pin had been replaced and the blade would actually protrude from the bottom about 1/8 of an inch (indicating they were far too small to be the originals). Also, I am not sure if Wostenholm used the "The Washington Razor" brand/stamp on their scales? Anyways, the scales were shot, completely snapped at the bottom pin, cracked at the pivot pin, and several bug bites.

Just finished re-pinning, and it's ready for the hones. Here are some new pics from the iPhone.

Scales are streaked horn with MOP acrylic wedge. I will post some better pictures after I hone it.

That came out very nice. Do you have to hold it with both hands to use it ? I have a wb 8/8 and it's a half ton of fun.

Thanks, I am proud of this one. And yes it is incredibly heavy. If I had to do it over I would've probably used a lead wedge to counter balance, but I think it still turned out nice. When I find my camera I will take some better pictures.

Oh and btw, yes it is fun to shave with. Not to mention shaves wonderfully.
