Maas on wood

Bear in mind that I don't know too much about wood working, so this may be a very silly question to some.

Maas says that it's a multi-surface polish and lists a bunch of other materials that it can be used on. Anyone ever try some one some wood scales, or any scales for that matter?

I don't know about Maas as I have never used it but I have used Mother's California Gold Cleaner Wax and Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish on wood, no problem......can't see why Mass wouldn't work too.

Interesting. I used the lemon oil that I normally use on the fretboard on my guitar on my scales...looks beautiful! Was just curious as to some "different" uses people have found for maas.

When I finish polish my wooden parts I try to avoid "gasoline" based polish pastes (the ones I can smell the thing in, as I think Mass has it, covered with a eg lavender smell), I used red dremel compound on woods too, it worked great on hard woods, on liht coloured woods as well, eg maple,.. I just took care to wipe it off emediately after finished, some eg tung oil helped to clean it off as well, but there are some residues of a compound (especially if the wood is porous) left... also when I dealt with contrasted laminates (eg ebony and maple) the ebony messed the lighter woods much much more,... I tried to avoid that by taking care not to mix the polishing wheel surface touching 1 and another type of wood, hope this helps a bit

ps. I try to avoid very watery pastes also

Maas is not meant to be used on wood.
