Useless for a razor but theres also Elk ivory. Elk have two ivory teeth. Useless information I know. :)
I would disagree , my ivory scaled razors are very usefull, and quite nice feeling in the hand , also in the brushes I have ,, thanks Jimmy interesting. Tc
Working with Elks teeth would indeed be difficult.
working with warthog or Hippo is more like working with teeth than true Ivory,very hard on tools and very little grain to be seen.
Walrus is the king of all the Ivorys,very complex grain structures,Wish I could use what I have but the legal system is also very complex:(
Not gonna happen,this tusk is from 1958,considered fossil (pre 1972) but I cannot prove it with a paper trail.
I can legally own it, but I cannot even give it away.
The fine is $50K and 5 yrs in jail.
