Dude looks like you got a real clean blade from the jumpoff. I keep finding myself trying to clean up rust buckets. I can wait to see this when its done..
Looking good buddy ! Change direction between grits or do circles. You want to make sure you get all the last grits scratches out and that is the best way to spot them. Nothing worse than going the same direction all the way, only to find some scratches left over from 220 that show up in polish stage. Leaving some deep pits behind is still respectable. You can only do so much.
Thanks buddy. I saw your save on that broken W&B, good one! I can't wait to see when it's done either - you know anyone who wants to finish it :) Nah it's a good time. We'll see how it comes out.
You're telling me. I can almost remember the stroke that but some of those deep scratches in. Good thing I don't have a due date.
Haha still sanding. Got the big scratches out on one side, now onto the next....
Well I got to 400 on one side. Did a quick 1000 and polish to have a look. Looks decent in this view:

Buuuuut, flip it into the light and I can see some lower grit scratches when I did circles and vertical. I'm not worried about the remaining pits, or the haze cause im only at 400, but Back to 220 for me to get those scratches. But it's fun seeing the potential!

Looks great. You have the patients of a saint to spend so much time at 220. But hot damn that's a purdy blade now.
