    Default Rodgers restore

Got this Rodgers and figured I'd do a work in progress thread.
On initial look, seems like the blade is in ok shape, no real hone wear. When I got it apart it looks like there was a double pin thing going on from a repair.
I was able to save all the domed washers and figured the scales were a lost cause. But did some sanding and found some nice material underneath!
For some reason I'm thinking these scales weren't original, but still maybe salvageable.
    Time to start sanding

I'm not looking forward to sanding - I'm too impatient.
I have to lock up the die grinders so I'm not tempted.

Nah, I think workshop thread. I keep directing guys to 'show and tell' or 'razors' as aquiring, the 'workshop' as building, and here as finished.

I agree! They look like they will clean up nicely! I hope the collars are reusable as well?

Yeah the collars look fine. I didn't have my hopes up that all four would come off cleanly but they did.
There's no wedge (just built in to the scales) - you guys agree these are probably replacement scales?

I cannot see why they would or would not be. They are definitely period and all the collars are matching.
