I too like the second one. If you angle and taper the wedge to match the lead edge on the barbers notch,,,would look pretty slick.
I like the second one. I would round off the pivot end. If you want to make it a little different you could put 2 pins in the wedge end, one on top of the other, if you have the room. Good luck!

Either will be fine but I would curve the top to match the spine curve a bit more JMO

I figured either scales I decide to go with I'll make the scales curve the same as the curve of the pitting on the blade and tang since that is probably the curve of the originals. These are just paper cutouts to give an idea of the shape. Thanks for all the suggestions, but still not sure. I will leave the razor sit for awhile until I can decide.
