Finished with the last coat of tung oil...
wonderful finished product, what did you do to clean the blade? hand sand?
I used 600 and 1200 grit wet sanding and finished with steel wool and Blue Magic, by hand. There is some pitting near the edge that has me a little concerned. I'm going to send it out to on of our honing experts here on SRP and pray that the steel close to the bevel will hold up...
I could have used lower grit sandpaper to start, but I didn't want to take off too much too fast and take a chance on messing up the geometry of the blade...
I also stayed off the etching as much as possible.
