Default Suggestions for red scale material.

I want something in a bright fire engine type red. Any material will do. I've looked at acrylics and G10 but they seem a little drab, at least how they are represented on line. If anyone has had a hands on look at something that will fit the bill, let me know.

I know Val at the Gentleman's Den is quite fond of Beyond Wood Products - they have some stellar stuff in reds, greens, etc...check it out:

As far as I can tell, that's all resin-wood hybrid and very nice but marbled in color. What I'm looking for is a bright solid red.

I've found that acrylic looks much nicer in person after polishing it up than it does at first instance in sheet form. However, I definitely prefer a more transparent look acrylic to solid / opaque.

I have been thinking about similar things, I have this site book marked for further investigation https://www.inventables.com/categori...erials/acrylic and this place too Atlas Billiard Supplies - Sheets I have not dealt with either of these places but they have some interesting products.

Have you ck out Masecraft supply. I don't know if they have what you want or not but they have a lot of different scale material. the bad thing is I think they have a minimum order amount. I have bought horn and faux BMOP from them before but it's been a while.

If you order from Masecraft be very very specific on shipping and do not use their online order system as it will get shipped via UPS and I'll tell you what brown does with brokerage fees and shipping costs to Canada and it is not pretty.

Those are both great leads and the one might be just what I was looking for.

... although a solid red would be preferable.
