Here is a French one that came in a Lot and at first thought it was a bad spot for a crack.. Until I realized that a shorty that has been shortened from the heal could possibly be a better shaver that a shorty shortened from the toe! Reason being that a toe shortened blade only really falls short in giving enough room... the blade is a little close to your hand, a little crowded.
But with a heal shortened blade, it gives plenty of clearance and reach while giving that short blade appeal.. of course if you like shorties, which I do, they are good for contours. IMHO
So here it is, the black marker in one picture shows the crack, the other photo shows what I plan to grind out.
This could look really cool!!! I think maybe better than just curving up and around crack to the tang.. ehhh? :)
