It's a friendly little corner of the forum.
Nighty-nite, Bill! Feel better? :roflmao
Good night, Johnboy.:)
I'm laughing so hard I'm having trouble typing.
Battery was blinkin on the camera, but I got a couple of peened up shots done without flash.Attachment 214023Attachment 214024Attachment 214025
I will charge it up and show some close ups of the epoxy repairs tomorrow.
Way better results than the first.
Cheers
I've spent some time this morning lapping the Swaty barber hone. I resumed with the 220 grit sandpaper I was using earlier in the week to get down below the deep scratches. Once I got there I drew pencil grid ands lapped with the 220, then 600, 800, 1500, and 2000 grits. This whitish spot in the middle is still there and doesn't feel as smooth as the rest of the surface. I'm thinking about rubbing Vaseline and letting the hone sit for awhile.
Later this morning I'll be resuming the hand sanding on the Frederick Reynolds blade and maybe testing the Dremel out on some scraps.
Dang Tom! That sounds like a serious process!
I get my blades fairly sharp, good enough shave without pull, but by what you wrote, that process, as you bring the blade up to your face the hairs must just fall off whimpering on the way down to the sink crying out in anguish "the horror, the horror!.. save yourselves!" Lol
