Ooh man that looks amazing! I really need to try bloodwood out. I'll try to find some that's got that similar affect. when looking before, I was looking for pieces that were solid red, but that streaking looks great.Quote:

The Blackwood is an oily wood. Doesn't like to glue to things, if you ever try.. make sure to use course sandpaper And possibly scratch it up with a razor a bit to create mechanical adhesion so that it will stick. I'm totally going to try the food dehydrator, was looking at one a few months back wondering about a good way to expedite the drying process...
Glad to see that you have created something great out of a blade that sat for years unattended to.
A dehydrator songs like a good idea. Never thought about that. I had one many years ago to make jerky & to do other things.

Too slow IMO. But would probably work, just like the heat the bulb puts out. And use thin coats of tru oil, or you'll have horible runs.Quote:
