Best way to clean jimping on the tang
What it the best way to clean the jimping on the tang?
I have tried dremel wheels with steel wire, but that doesn't do much good, though I thought it would.
I think the wires hit the tang, get bent and fail to really slide between the jimping.
So if someone has an idea I'd be interested to try it out.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 0Maybe some kind of abrasive with a really stiff brush? I did that on mine and it got rid of most of the oxidation, but there wasn't that much to begin with.

I use a wire brush on the dremel, works just fine for me.
You may need to look at where the bristles are contacting the tang and move accordingly.

I use the polishing wheel, that made from compressed wool, forgot the name, with some metal polish...

Radial bristle discs work pretty well, too.
