Restoration opinions on wade and butcher
So I have this very charming wade and it has etching, was wanting to see what u guys thought of buffing and mirroring anything on this because if I do it won't match the rest of the razor... So I was thinking about just leaving it as is, I only hit it with some mothers and went to town....

You may want to try hand sanding.

I would not buffing because patina is homogenius and it is perfect look.

Thanked: 4830I would not use a buffer on that blade. You could do some selective hand sanding and let it run for a few days in a vibratory polisher, and then blue the etch.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Clean with soap and water, pin it back on scales, put two layers of tape, hone it softly, build a good lather and be happy. IMO. Beautiful blade.

Thanked: 2591just polishing compounds IMO.
Any more aggressive means will affect the etch too much.Stefan
