Yeah it's a funny job but well worth the effort .i couldn't because of how this was done but if you can put the filler on the cardboard, drape the cloth over it and if you can wrap the material around the backside of the cardboard and flue it that way.

@tintin. Just glue. Something "rubbery" seems to work well. And I didn't do a wall to wall coat of glue thinking ahead 100 yrs. to the next guy who restores this will thank me!

You should have put your name on the inside under the velvet so when the next guy restores it he will have some history to track down.

The box is the "icing on the cake" to complete a stunning set.
With this all done there won't be any need for restoration for a few generations.
