The box for my 7day set was in need of some work. I stripped and gutted the box. Had to make new dividers for both the wedge and tail ends of the razors. I relined everything with velvet. The finish is lacquer. Now the set is complete.

The razors in their restored home .
You truely have the Patience of Job and the eye of a Master! Absolutely beautiful restore!
Thanks. This though is pretty close to what I do for a living so it all sort of falls into place.
Beautiful craftsmanship as always.
You SIR are awesome craftsman!! Just beautiful!!
Very nice! How did you reattach the velvet with print to the inside of the lid?
It's more like silk but the way it was put together was there's a backer of cardboard with some cotton between the material and the cardboard . This makes it puffy so it can press a bit on the razors and keep them in place.
I removed the old cardboard, added some poly-fill and the cardboard backer gets glued around the perimeter of the material capturing the filler in between. Then the " sandwich " gets glued back Into the lid.
Easiest explanation it's a pillow with one side the blue silk and the other side the cardboard , glue around the edge and the stuffing inside.
i'm curious about how you attached the lining on the inside of the box?
thanks for this last bit, wasnt sure how to do the last bit of my box. its a fiddly job.
