So i recently acquired a 1939 vintage puma. The razor is in good condition except for the rubber tang cover was rotted and cracked :(. Is there any way of replacing it??

Why not remove it and use it without?
wow that was quick! thanks! i did remove it the problem is the tang is made for it, it has like notches cut into it. i will post pics tomorrow
I've wondered about this myself...
I'm sure you could use a heat shrink-able rubber, but that is only speculation, and I odn't know where and what type to get.
Do not think that the loss of the rubber grip is a horrible thing. It seems as though the glue, or what ever they used to keep that in place, causes rusting with time.
I hope someone chimes in with a great idea!!

autozone sell heat shrink tube but it won't go over the blade and would require un pinning :shrug:
You do not have to remove the pins.
Would the tubing fit over the scales?
If you open the blade so that the scales are in-line with the tang, you could slide it up and onto the tang....
BUT, that is if it fits over the scales...
