I was wondering what do you do or use after running a razor through the buffers ending with 600 grit greaseless compound. I have been hand sanding from 1000 grit to 2000 grit and then polish on the wheels. What is the secret to getting a mirror finish? Does anybody make a higher than 600 grit greaseless compound? Or is it just a lot of elbow grease? Thanks.
I found a sisal wheel with black polishing compound works after greaseless to get to the rest of the buffing compounds. I am sure you will hear other ways but that's what I found quickest from 400. 3 more polishing compounds and then 2 pastes to get my mirrors.
Took lots of experimenting but I have my power polishing down to 6 wheels.
How does a cotton sewn wheel work with the black compound?

I use the sewn 4 in cotton wheels with greased compounds after 600 greaseless all the time. The black and green sticks bring out the shine.

Ordered four more 4" sewn cotton wheels and a stick of black and green polishing compound.
That should about cover it for most of my work I think. I may need some white compound but we will see.
