To sand or not to sand...

Hi, First time user of the forum,I hope I'm posting in the proper place, the etching is amazing, I would love to find a blade with anything cycling related. Yesterday I purchased 2 SR second hand, I don't have very muck knowledge on the pieces,I am afraid of losing (sanding) the hallmarks,stamps and engraving off the blades, basically I don't know where to begin, the edges feel and looks to be in shave ready (from what I can tell) any help or advice would be greatly appreciated,Best of luck on your beauty and hope everything turns out well. Attachment 239979 in this photo it's a bit hard to make out the conditions I will upload a few close ups

Iphones actually take good photos, enlarge and get close with good lighting and a lite background.

Clean with 000 steel wool and WD40, polish with some 1k wet and dry with a wine cork backer going easy over the etch.

That will give you a good idea of how much will come off and then make a decision on if you can keep the etch or live with some pitting.

Thank you on the advice, I used a steel wool and the wine qourk, the e dirt and rust came, there is some spots left on the blades, I tried uploading photos it wot aloe me to,

What Brand are they? iPhones can get surprisingly good pictures.
