Thread: Great way to clean gold etching

While I think razor blades with gold etching on the front of the blade look cool, I haven't really enjoyed them because I couldn't figure out a way to clean back to the new looking state without damaging the etching.

I've learned first hand that a soft toothbrush with soapy water will remove some of the etching on a vintage blade.

Vulpex Liquid Soap from Picreator Enterprises is the product and is it worked like a charm. I've been using the dovo blade in the pic below for some time and it looked dirty. With Vulpex hardly any scrubbing is needed. It has enzymes that connect to the dirty part and a rinse is about all that is needed.

The price has come down, though the soap is expensive. However, anyone who is a stickler for a shiny blade should be happy with the investment. It is a concentrate which you dilute, though it is still expensive.
