Restoration/Sharpening/Honing Services
Hello All! Great thread! I am fairly new to SR shaving (2 months+) and am addicted. I am looking at several nice SRs on eBay and once i get them, am looking for someone to "fine tune" them, ranging from removing a miniscule nick in the blade to shave ready honing. I would send them as a batch and pay for them all at once. I am currently using a basic Dovo for my daily shaves (honed by Lynn). I contacted Lynn but he said he is not doing much restoration at the moment. I am not sure how much restoration these will need - most are in good-to-excellent shape.
I also have an ulterior movtive - I am thinking about adding razor restoration to my list of hobbies and want some high quality examples to compare my work to.
Contact me if you would like more info!

There are some great restored blades in the B/S/T section of the forum. Some possibly the finest you'll ever see. A lot of those guys might have way too many blades on their hands to take on your project (you can ask). It might be worth it to you in the long run to spend a little extra and get a blade from say Gary like this one http://straightrazorpalace.com/showthread.php?t=13312. You'll have a great shaver and you can see where to set your sites on for your projects. Also I can't recommend more getting the Bill Ellis (2007) restore CD. Worth every penny!

I do restoration as well as honing, although I am not yet Joe Chandler or Robert Williams aka papabull. You could ask them as well.
Send me a PM if you are interested and maybe we can work something out, depending on what the razors look like, what you want, and when it needs to be done (in 1 - 3 weeks I will be daddy for the 2nd time so my time will be constrained a bit in the near future.).

Bruno's restorations are pretty dang nice. If anyone has some good razors that need a little TLC, he can fix you up.
