7 Day Razor Set Locking Handle Repair

Hello straight razor enthusiasts,

I have a beautiful interchangeable blade, 7 day set made by Joseph Rodgers that unfortunately had a broken locking handle. I decided to take it apart and see what could be done. I was able to successfully repair it by modifying a stainless steel spring clip from a flashlight. I heated the metal where it needed to be bent, otherwise it would have snapped. It takes a lot of time to get the dimensions just right so it will catch and release so plan on spending some hours filing and fitting. I ended up peening the base of the spring so it doesn't slip out of the slot, unfortunately I didn't get a final picture. The shape of the spring in the picture is also not the final product, it ended up having a slight downward curve in the middle so the button pushed it up enough to release. Hopefully the following pictures will be of value to anyone who has a similar issue to repair.
