I had a guy quote me $120 for scales, honing, and some polishing.
I saw some bone scales on ebay for ~$27 with one pin and the wedge installed and the tang part drilled and came with a 1" piece of bar stock(?) and washers.
Is it that hard to rescale if one hasn't done it before?
Was the price quoted me seem high?
Anyone here do that kind of work reasonably?
