Turned a log from a log...
The wife was not impressed but I'm very happy with it. Now it is ready to be made into something and I got the chance to really work on a chunk of wood.
Its Aspen and the finished log is 5.5" round.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Wow, i've never attempted to turn something that large. (Was it a bit scary?) what are your plans for it?

It had some vibration for sure. But even when it was round it still had vibration. Guessing from the density of the wood as it did have a couple limbs sticking out when i started that had to be cut first.
130mm knot should work just right. I figure to cut it into 3 pieces so that when im ready i will have material for some bowls to turn. But we will see what life brings. I just wanted to hack up a log to see what happens. Today I have plans on a brush but its too hard to tell right now what today will bring. It's just Sharpening, right?

Didn't Pixelfixed once make a 38mm brush for Shaquille O'Neal?
There are many roads to sharp.
