Default Cleaned up a nice little Pipe razor.

I remember finding this one at the antique store, and it having a little higher tag than I wanted to spend at that time. (Too many razors in the restoration pile, need to be fussy with what I buy) After thinking and pondering, I decided the $45 was worth spending on this little beauty. It had everything going for it, great blade face etch, unique spine/shoulder grind, hump back tang, and original led wedge and scales.

    Oh and that patina!!!

Finally got around to working on this blade this week. Took the razor entirely apart. Fixed the bug bites on the scales, removed all the rust from the blade while keeping that beautiful patina. Re-pinned with double stacked brass washers, polished everything up and put it through the hones. My grandfathers old King 1k, Norton 4/8, and finished with a vintage Coticule. Really looking forward to the shave tomorrow morning!

    Thanks for looking boys!

Nice work. I really miss being able to do...well... ANYTHING with a restoration or honing or even shaving. It's nice to do it vicariously through others though. :

I'm out of the loop, but whatever is holding you back, I wish you to get back to where you can do things like this when you want.

Nice one! Glad you kept the patina. I do love a shiny razor but sometimes patina can make a razor even more desirable.

Oh yeah, I meant to say I love that grind. The shape of the tang is also quite appealing.

What a sweet little razor. Nice to see you puttering with blades again.

I agree. Shinny is nice, but the patina of an old razor looks better! Just my opinion.

( Plus it saves a lot of work...)

Right!!!? When I was trying to make a decision to buy it or not, the lady who opened the glass cabinet was standing there with me, and I couldn’t put it back. To many cool features.

I may hop right into another one Shaun. I had a Tally Ho buying faze there and have yet to put one on the face.

Nice job, Andrew-I love my Wosty Pipes; those and Ern Ators are my weakness (and Bokers and Herders and WB's etc., etc.).
