Thought I would experiment and try carving a set of Mahagany scales. Worked with x-acto knife and Dremel. Sanded and coated with Danish oil. Nothing to put them on yet but will have them when I find the right blade.

That looks really cool. Have to keep your razor clean though, because company could see it when it is closed :).
It should be kept clean either way. I never put a razor back in rotation with residue left on the blade.
Sorry. That part was just a joke. Just what I think whenever I see things that let people see what is usually hidden.
Are you going to line the scales or just leave them hollow? Id be a little afraid of breakage when it flexes. But depending on the thickness it might be fine. They look good Leonard!
They are 1/8" thick so should be OK.
Very impressed, they would even make an old beater look special.
