I might hae to set mine up so the wind blows to the neighbors and try it again..........

Thank you all for the advice. After consderation I will leave the blonde by itself. Maybe liners with some white acrylic or imitation ivory.

Keep in mind that the beauty of translucent horn won't be the same with a light blocker behind it.

Agreed. But not always. For instance, we have here, two different scales being used.

One is black, the other streaked blonde/honey horn.

I like the effect that this gives, at highlighting the blade.

Looks nice but there is a space between the scales to allow light through.
