Absolutely right. Not only are there personal preferences but no two repairs are exactly the same. What works best for one repair may not work best for another.

I agree with Tom, on glueing two pieces of horn. If u have the broken piece. But when fabrication of a missing piece, I have no issues with the epoxy. Strong, permanent, can dye it, and it's not brittle. But to each their own...they've all worked

I must add that no oils of any kind before repairs. Dry stuff is a must!
