Hi all.

I just chanced upon a really nice razor at a yard sale. The scales appear to be made of bone or ivory; I think bone because they're not as smooth as ivory usually is.

Anyway, the razor needs work; at the very least it needs a good polishing and honing, but I really think I lucked out with this one, guys. The blade has some cool etching on it. What little I can make out under the dirt looks like a couple of emblems, one saying "Theodore Roosevelt" and another below it reading "Prinz Heinreich." It also appears to be a 5/8" blade with a pronounced rounding to the tip (whether that's the way it was made or the result of some overzealous honing, I have no idea). As stated above, the handle appears to be bone. There is no maker identification. It merely says "The Magnetized Razor, Made in Germany" near the monkey-tail.

Unfortunately, I have no pic as of yet, as I left my camera somewhere I shouldn't have. But I plan on posting some before and after pics on this thread as soon as I can. My questions is: does anyone know anything about this razor, and does anyone know the best way to clean bone?
