Rotary s/s wire brushes for the dremel,

Anyone got a good supplier of rotary s/s wire brushes for the dremel, the ones I have had off ebay shed the bristles & go out of balance quite quickly.
I did have some once that wore down to the hub but cant remember from where.

The bristles I use are from the brand "Proxxon". They are commonly available in Belgium and so far I am very pleased with the quality and sturdiness. My "dremel" is from the same brand, but I guess their bristles will fit a real Dremel too.

This is the guy in America I got the last lot from
& it worked out about £12.00 for 25 brushes including Delivery.

They would have been ok if I had a speed controller on.
So I am looking for a compromise between the 2
Price & Quality.

This is what I have been using for cleaning up Ebay razors. 4£65ct
Works great and I had no problem with losing wires. But I do have a RPM-control on my little "dremel"

They exist in a steal brush version too, about the same price.
I 'm not sure about the set you are referring too. Could it be possibly be a brush set for mounting on one of those stationary miniature grinders they sell at Proxxon?
Anyway, my Proxxon "dremel" is a hand held tool. The only tricky thing about it when cleaning razors is making sure that the wire brush is turning in an outward direction in relation with the cutting edge of the razor at all times. Otherwise the brush and the razor start to eat each other. Don't ask me how I know this.

edit! Just ordered 10 steel for £12.11 not bad if they last.
Mmmmm I have sent 1 or 2 razors to the graveyard with the dremel.

It hasn’t happened for a while (touch wood) I have a little sequence I go through to prevent it.
Maybe the brushes I have are just cheap oriental ones.

I know there are several Shaving item sellers on the SRP & someone who supplies wood for making scales

Could do with someone who supplies restoration tools, How about it guys?

i picked up this guy at home depot. i never thought i would use the wire wheel, and i just wanted a bunch of felt wheels. then i got an ebay special with about a .8mm thick rust scale up one side of the spine...

Genuine Dremel tends to be quite expensive in the UK
I got a Dremel copy with the big tool kit from Nettos
It is just the wire brushes I use up quite quickly!

Have you tried the actual Dremel wire brushes? They too will keep going all the way down to the base. Maybe it would be worth the $?

at the Despot it was about 12 bucks. the kit also came with what i think is a plastic bristle brush and a red buffing compound of unspecified grit. and some of those hard gray wheels labeled metal polishing that are really 2 or 3 steps away from what i would call "polished". i do need to find a bag of those felt wheels though... mine got cross con-grit-ulated
