Here are a few rescales I did recently using veneer. I still need to perfect the finishing on them - slowly I'm getting better at it. I think I'll try the next ones with wax though as I'm getting bored of the CA finish.
I got all the wood in a mixed pack so if anybody knows what any of the woods are that would be great. I only recognize the birds eye maple. and regular maple. Not sure if the last one is flamed maple or another wood.

I had the Frederick reynolds shining 6 months ago and I got it out to check it the other day and it developed some corroded bits - pain in the butt.
I'm not great at refinishing metal to be honest. I don't have enough variety of paper to do it but I will give all of these another go sometime I think.
The W&B with the square point didn't come out as I wanted - the wood was a beautiful curly red colour and after CA the grain was much less noticable. I might redo it with another finish if I can sand it down as the CA went cloudy anyway.
The last W&B with the flamed scales was completely rusted with a triangle shaped blade - I had to grind down the edge so it was parallel to the spine again. It must have been a huge blade originally - probably 8/8 and it is really deeply hollow ground.
