in the tumbler with the diamond paste for 24 hrs followed by a quick buff with some SS Rouge

AaronX, could we talk you out of the exact recipe for the diamond paste media? Very impressive results.

there's not an exact recipe. I used walnut shell animal bedding, some turtle wax compound and then a 5 gm tube of 20 micron diamond paste from widget supply.
Would the black diamond paste be different from black buffing compound?
yup it's totally different stuff.
I think the tumbler is a great substitute if you don't own a buffer/polisher and time isn't an issue.
I get better results with my buffer/polisher and all my voodoo tricks and products at a fraction of the time compared to the tumbler but it takes some know how, makes a lot of dust and flying compounds, safety first, needs a good solid investment in buffer, wheels, products and is not meant for everyone.
