Thanked: 4CA and Fingers?
On each coat I tend to stick to the scales somewhere at least once.
I'm trying to keep it to a minimum and keep applying coats.
Currently shooting for 5 coats (2 latex gloves worth of fingers) and alternating sides every 15 minutes.
The additional coats seem to "melt" my mistakes in so I'm assuming everything is as it should be.
Will my oops work out through the addition of CA or am I already doomed and should be sanding down and starting again?
Is there an easy way to avoid oops?
Thanks,
Bob

Hope this help...
Hello from Poland!
Being new to the forum, I hope I can help you somehow....
I recently found it somewhere while getting informed about straight-razors, as well as the the proper way to shave and I found that great topic for a future restauration of one of my straight razor...
Here you go though:

Even though the CA "sets" within like 20 seconds, 15 minutes may be too soon to apply another coat. Depending on the thickness you really have to look at the CA to make sure no area is still moist.
As for right now, I'd sand down.

Thanked: 4The glueing them to a popsicle trick seems to have solved my first biggest problem.
I've used carpet tape and can now pick them up and put them down without making a mess.

There is a CA mister cabinet available(Some police dapartments have them to develop fingerprints) The one Ive seen is about 12" x 12" and they are not expensive.Im sure I could adapt one to apply succesive coats at any desired interval, and to any thickness.Put 10 scale sets in come back 24 hours later and have 10 or 12 perfect coats.Best Regards Gary
