    Default Epoxy finish V2.0

If you liked my first set of epoxy scales, you will love these. I have been working on my technique and process. I think I am a lot like Tony and his strops, I am very picky when it comes to my wood stock. I can spend a couple hours looking through stock only to select one or two borard that have that special grain or character I want.

I have some Lace wood with some very tight lacing: these sets are from the largest lace spaced portion of the stock, some blood wood with a touch of sapwood which gives it some contrast and super nice feathering, some super tight and fancy grain Bocote and a little plain cherry. These are still setting up and have not reached their peak color yet. The resin is still very soft. It takes 72 hours to cure and longer to reach its prime color. These are going to look awesome.

I could not have said it better than that. Very impressive. Thanks for posting those to share. I can not wait to see them pinned and sporting some sweet shavin' steel.

I am thinking 7/8 Henckels in those Bocote and Blood wood. Now I just have to purchase a couple. I have a 5/8 Henckels that will go in one of the lacewood.

Wow, I am amazed by the way the grain just pops out of those!
