How much money to get this razor up to speed?

I am waiting for my first straight razor to show up and found the one above at an antique shop. I guess it doesn't need a full restoration(??) but just some touch up work , cleaning and honing. I really know very little about razors right now.

I know where to get it honed but don't know much about anything else. Also, do you think it is worth sinking money into? I do have a new Dovo 6/8 special on the way.

Any information on the blade or manufacture would also be welcome. I can't seem to find much on google. Year and steel type(stainless?) would be nice to know.

It's from the early 1900's/late 1800's I believe. The steel is quite certainly carbon (as in not stainless). It doesn't need much more than a honing to be useable. To bring it back to perfection, geometrically and esthetically, would have a cost depending on who you ask. I do perform this type of work, but it's not my policy to give quotes in threads (you'll find this is a policy held by the other respectable restorers here as well).

I just went back to the shop and they have 4 new ones in, all Sheffield steel. From what I read here that sounds good. They have bone and real tortoise shell scales. I think I will go pick one or two of them up and then send a PM, once I have more pictures of the new razors, to get an estimate for cleaning/polishing/honing.
