My first custom
I hope I get good feedback on this sucker... it took me long enough! I was a little anal with my first attempt but it looks like it paid off. I'm pretty happy with it.
Thuya burl with something like 8 coats of tung oil (which took forever) and 5 coats of renaissance wax with a good buffing.
BTW, does anyone have a source for domed washers or is anyone willing to sell me some? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks y'all!

Excellent job!!!! :bow:bow

That looks great! :tu Burled wood always looks good. Is the spacer brass, and did you polish the blade yourself as well? I can hear it making that sparkling noise from here :) It looks too pretty to pick up and use!! :D I know you will enjoy it.

nice restore....
as for the domed washers a dappling block is the easiest way but a dimple drilled into a steel bars and a blunt rounded punch work as well

Pretty good job for a first attempt! :tu
