    Default My first custom

I hope I get good feedback on this sucker... it took me long enough! I was a little anal with my first attempt but it looks like it paid off. I'm pretty happy with it.
Thuya burl with something like 8 coats of tung oil (which took forever) and 5 coats of renaissance wax with a good buffing.

BTW, does anyone have a source for domed washers or is anyone willing to sell me some? I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks y'all!

That looks great! Burled wood always looks good. Is the spacer brass, and did you polish the blade yourself as well? I can hear it making that sparkling noise from here It looks too pretty to pick up and use!! I know you will enjoy it.

    nice restore....

as for the domed washers a dappling block is the easiest way but a dimple drilled into a steel bars and a blunt rounded punch work as well
    Be just and fear not.
