    Default Hunter with cherry

I tend to make my handles thick and chunky (like me). This time I deliberately made the scales thin. They are made of cherry that has been dyed with lye (dollar store oven cleaner) and coated with lacquer. The blade is a Hunter. The spacer is ivory from a piano key top.

That is a perfect size for the scales, the lines flow very well.

Probably one of the better restos I've seen in a while. I tend to favor minimalist styling and this razor has an elegant simplicity that I really enjoy.

    Excellent job all around.

...is the blade a mirror finish or satin? cant really tell from the pics.

It is a mirror finish, and yes I did vote for satin in Joe’s poll. I like both satin, mirror and an old patina, all have their place.

Thanks for the kind words from everybody.

    Thumbs up Wow!

Mirror finish + perfect scales! I hope she shaves as good as she looks, cause then she is a winner! Well done!

Those scales look very nice. I like the ivory as a spacer. Nice work!

Very nice job! But you have to tell me how you dyed the scales with oven cleaner?

Not sure what you did but I like that color
