Hollow grinding? Edge up.
I would respectfully say that if you are intent on grinding a razor and you need basic instructions like that you probably shouldn't be tackling that project just yet.
more to the point edge up ruffing and edge down smoothing
but that's just me
I'll go edge up the entire process. Go slow. It's a bit more complicated when you start grinding in curves an all, but in general, edge up. That's the only way I've found to maintain sharp, crisp grind lines. Everyone sort of figures out their own way to do it. Most people go edge up, but Harvey Dean (a really good flat grinder) grinds one side edge up, and one side edge down. Go figure.:shrug::hmmm:
i just wanted to see how the process went im not grinding anything. i mean u dont hear much on this on the wikis:w
I'm curious too, and have no intention of grinding anything. but I enjoying know the methods used to produce the things I use.
