    Default Please help me save this Friodur

    Well, I may be way over my head on this project. Just wanted your opinion. Can I save this blade by myself or should it be sent out. Admittedly I am early into this road. I have 7 str8s, 5 of which I have picked up at antique shops in various states of dis repair. I can shave with all of them. Does this mean I know how to restore this blade? Probably not, but I love the challenge and I like the potential of this razor.

    My equipment so far includes a 1.2k dmt, 4k/8k/ Norton and 12k chinese. The main chip is about 2mm deep. The overall blade width I measure at 7/8. This blade doesn't appear to have been used except possibly as a can opener. What do you guys think. Oh I paid $12.50
