flic embossed scale repair

I recently purchased a flic razor which has broken scales at the pivot pin. I bought it because it was only $10. I would just have the scales replaced, but I want to keep the flic embossing on the scales.
I think I have three options for keeping the embossing.
1. repair the broken ends of the scales.
2. cut out the section of scales that has the embossing and glue this section into a new scale.
3. somehow remove the embossing and transfer it to a new scale.

If anyone has done this before or knows how to do it, please let me know.

Embossing?????

I am thinking one of two thing here that you might mean...

an engraved or stamped design in the scale material
or an inlay of a type of metal on the scale....

An inlay would be a better way to describe it.

Gluing scales doesn't work all that great, epoxy does work sometimes...

As to lifting inlays yes it can be done there is a thread that Floppyshoes and I did about restoring two DD Reapers that shows how we both did just that...

Be very, very, careful when you decide to do this that the inlays are thick enough to work with, as some of them are simply a metal foil...
