    Default Turtle Wax question

I know that the premium rubbing compound is good stuff, but has any one used this:

    or this:

I have seen the red stuff for a couple of bucks here and I was wondering if this would be a good idea for removing some stains or rust in addition to sandpaper.

I use the top one, the rubbing compound. It seems to work very well. I do all my sanding and buffing by hand, so I can't tell you if this is too abrasive for powered buffing or not.

I have heard from guys who've used both that neither work as well as the Premium.

For finishing I'll use the premium for just getting some rust off and maybe some stains will the red work?
