Thanked: 10Puma, 1st restoration with US aid
So one of my first finds from my Edinburgh junk shop source has finally reached the end of the road. The razor was obtained for a fiver some months ago and following sessions of hand-sanding I reached the stage when I thought I should call it a day.
Neither photo is very good but they give some indication of the work done. Importantly the new scales are courtesy of AirColorado who contacted me after seeing my initial post and offered to send me scales from his stock of wrecked razors. Many thanks then to AirColorado for this gift... A gesture of generosity and consideration which appears typical of this forum!
There is some pitting remaining but I thought I had done enough for the time being. A learning experience then of unpinning, pinning and rust removal. I have about 6 more now to work on!
