Default Quite proud about my first restoration AND HHT!

Oh yes. Well... it's technically my second restoration... but the first one is not done yet. I'll unveil it as soon as I finish the scales. So... what is it? A Solingen Silver Steel w/ blonde scales I got in a package a while ago (w/ 3 other razors that are in a not so good shape... reground). The good thing is that it's the only one I wanted! So, why am I so proud?

The blade is quite a bit warped and the spine has a lot of hone wear, as well as being very uneven. But after a month and a half of practice with a DA, it's the first blade I got to pass the HHT! My DA still barely passes it.

I'll show the BEFORE pics now and post the AFTER pics in the afternoon tomorrow... sorry about the crop, that was only some quick snapshots.

Good looking razor, great job. Just one question, is that a scratch on the scale by the wedge pin from filing the pins? (I ask because I have done that)

Yep, I didn't bother about resanding that because I'm in the process of making some cherry wood scales for it. Thanks for the comments!

That really turned out nice! Is that the same set of scales going from yellow to white? I think those scales look great.

I guess that shows how observant I am. I still like the scales in full color.

Great job... I really like how this one turned out. And your first one, no less. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your work...
