I know what the blade looked like originally, so I can say that this result is very, very good. So far it looks like a landslide victory for leaving the satin finish.
I vote leave the satin finish.Amboyna burl scales would be great with that blade.
Dude, scale it up and get it cutting some wiskers. That blade is nice, now its time to give it wings!
