    Default my first restore..ever

    so this is my first attempt with restoring. i got rid of the scales (although they were in a good condition).
    i couldnt find any lower grits than 240 and higher than a thousand. i made the best of it.

    the blade is a MANDARIN, GOEDECKE&Cie-Solingen.
    i made the stand out of two old hard disks... one belonged to a laptop and one from a pc. so in the pictures you will see a big magnet from the pc and 2 small ones from the laptop.

    the stand itself is the casing of the hard drive.

    sorry about the quality of the pics..i swear the best ones were not from my camera but from the iphone,,for some reason it worked better.

    pics are by order as follows;

    3 sheets of 240 grit = 2 1/2 hours of sanding.
    2 sheets of 400 grit = 1 hour of sanding
    1 sheet of 600 grit = maybe 45 minutes of sanding
    1 sheet of 1000 grit = 30 minutes of sanding.
    a total of almsot 5 hours of sanding and very very aching elbow.

    total $ cost= $8.15

    where did i get the courage and info to do this ?????????? TWO WORDS,, WIKI AND WORKSHOP.

    thank you guys i couldnt have done it without your help.
