    Default Engraving Scales

    I've done a few restorations and was wondering if anyone has ever done any engraving on scales. I'd like to have my initials engraved on some scales but don't think I have the chops to pull it off. Has anybody done this?

    Find someone who's got a little hobbyists CNC engraver. Anyone who does trophies or awards should be able to engrave your scales for you.

    I'm not sure as I don't own one, but I think the Dremel can have this diamond tip 'engraver' mounted on it, it's like 10 bucks (the bit, not the Dremel). I'm also interested in engraving (my handle for my brush), and haven't found a cheap way that looks good yet.

    You might want to consider a small plaque on which you can engrave your initials and adhere it to the scale. I did this with my ivory scales and it looks great. Your local jeweler is the one to talk to. Mine charged $15 for the self-adhesive plaque and engraving.
