New Hybrid with Oosik Scales
For those of you who may have missed this razor buried in another thread, this is one of three that I finished working on just this past weekend.
The oosic handle is metal lined. Oosic is the bone from the penis of the walrus. The stuff on this razor is fossilized and over 10,000 years old, so no mean hunter killed it... for those of you with those concerns. When the snowpack melts up in Alaska, oosik is found all the time. I usually get mine from K n G Knife Supply.
I love the stuff, myself... just hate grinding on it. Stinky stinky stinky... This section is from the inner circle of bone where you can see all the pores for the blood to flow through. I fill it with different colors of epoxy. This was left-over material from this knife.

I will put this one up for sale on my site when I can get to it. Got about 30 others to do first. I think I like this razor just about better than any I have done to date. A real slice of masculinity.

Thanks Bill
I am glad that you like it. I considered keeping this one myself. I like it better than some of the really expensive ones that I have. I almost put my logo on the blade to indicate that it was a restoration by me. If you want it done... send it back and I will put it on for you... if I decide to mail it back. :)
PS. I know where you can get the rest of the oosik the scales were made from...

It comes with easy instructions for a do-it-yourself divorce too...
