Default My first set of scales!

My first run at it. They turned out OK in my opinion. I certainly learned some things. The material is Flame Birch with a Tung Oil finish. Sorry for rotten pics.

For sure! Much nicer than my first attempt. Did you get to use power tools? I have a dremel my grandfather gave me this week since he doesn't use it and I can't wait to try it out when I get back to my shaving stuff.

I have power tools, but I decided that doing it by hand for the first run would be better from a learning standpoint. I used my drill press for the pin holes, but did the rest with coping saw and some sandpaper.

I think you did a great job. I like the shape of them and how they compliment the razor. Very cool! You should pat yourself on the back.

I have a Ladwig's Special that I have to clean up and hone. How does that Ladwig shave?

I had a Ladwig's Special for a long time. It's a nice razor. I rescaled it with Dovo red bone scaled that I just didn't care for and I unloaded it. I have to hone this one up and shave with it. I just finished the scales.
